The New Hope Film Festival awarded George Reese's feature screenplay, Reconquista, Best Action/Thriller Screenplay. This screenplay is a full-length version of the story behind his short film of the same title.
Reconquista is the intense story of a Spanish resistance fighter in the 2060's who has been asked to help her enemy cross through war zones on a mission of peace. They must navigate through a landscape that has become accustomed to permanent warfare and shifting loyalties in order to overcome thousands of years of hatred and bring a lasting peace.
